John Glenn:  They lost a tremendous amount of guys on both sides of the ball and they will definitely be rebuilding this year. The rebuilding gets easy when you have an athlete like Dejon Bernard. An interesting note: The Eagles hired a new head coach this season in Ray Niemann and with him at the helm, the Eagles seem to have finally gotten it right; hiring a head coach who is from the community, and is well respected. Everywhere Niemann has been, he has been a winner and has produced. This writer is anxious to see how good he Jobscan make the Eagles!

La Mirada: The ever elusive Max Gama. This young man stepped in a role last season that required him to be part of a rotation that included playing RB and being a stud on defense. He withstood all of the punishment, and dished out a bunch of his own. The recent Washington State Cougar commit will be a force to reckon with next season, and now everyone will know who this kid is!

Mayfair:  Every team needs a guy who can patrol the middle of its defense, and be such an imposing figure, other coaches have to game-plan around. For the Monsoons his name is Theo Chambers, and he plays fast and aggressive. In the kick-return game, he is lightning-in-a-bottle and can go the distance on any given moment in the game. He reminds me a little bit of Tennessee Titans fourth round draft choice Alterraun Verner.

Norwalk:  The Lancers and their vaunted double-wing attack have produced a couple of good running backs but none are as dangerous as the 6'2 245 lb. Washington Husky commit, Elihjaa Penny! This bulldozer seems to find another gear when he is in the open field. Last season he racked up 1600 yards of offense as part of a three-headed monster that had all three backs for Norwalk racing for over 1000 yards.

Notes:  Every player mentioned is a senior next year and in all my years of football it has been a while since I have seen such a star-studded class in the Suburban League. Everyone of these players will demand coaches to stop them first next season, but all you can do is hope to contain them!
