Earlier in the day, the Matadores beat Valley (NV) 64-51. Siemens had 17 points and 12 rebounds in this one; Luatua added 15.

The Matadores had only seven players suited-up for both games.

The first game of the tournament was played on Saturday with the Mats winning over Durango 76-57.

La Mirada is now 2-1 in Vegas and 7-7 overall for the season.

The Mats next game is scheduled for tomorrow morning against an unnamed opponent with the time to be announced this evening. If the Mats win they advance to play on Wednesday.

Following the tourney, La Mirada's next game is a non-league home contest against Ayala (L.A.). on Monday, January 4th beginning at 6:30 p.m. 

Then, Suburban League play opens up on Wednesday, January 6th, with another home game vs. rival John Glenn.

This will mark the only back-to-back home games for the Mats this season.
