With eyes directed to the sky, a lone paratrooper suddenly appeared and slowly descended making a perfect landing near the gathered scouts.  Climbing onto the stage, he introduced the other members of the U.S. Army Parachute Team also known as the Golden Knights as they all gracefully landed on the exact same spot one after the other.

Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell described some of the wonderful service projects completed by scouts throughout the state. Other guests making an appearance were Miss America 2009 Katie Stam and the United States Army Herald Trumpets. The show ended with the firing of cannons.

On July 31, 2010, Scouting officially celebrated 100 years with scouts around the nation though a live internet broadcast from the Jamboree. The spectacular centennial show, "A Shining Light Across America", was filled with many famous guests and an amazing fireworks extravaganza.
