"From the beginning, we had confidence that this was the right time...it wasn't a surprise in the sense of shock but gratitude to God, thankfulness to so many people who supported us in prayer and to the many people who gave to us," said Ron Blomberg, Senior Director of Development at Biola University.

The construction cost for phase one-totaling around $11.5 million-will erect a brand new 30,617 square-foot building complete with 7 classrooms, 31 academic offices, a faculty meeting room, prayer chapel, two conference rooms, and a PhD seminar room.  According to Adam Morris, vice president for Advancement, the new building should be ready for classes by Fall 2011.

Biola University's Talbot School of Theology first got its start almost 50 years ago with the construction of Myers Hall.  Enrollment at the time numbered only 46 students.  Over 1,000 students are enrolled at Talbot today.
