Among the talented cast was A-list celebrity James Barbour who starred as Jean Valjean. The performance given by Barbour was extraordinarily flawless. Impeccably capturing the complexity of the character, Barbour graced the stage with a superb vocal performance. Other lead roles included Valerie Rose Curiel as Eponine, Kimberly Hessler as Cosette, Nathaniel Irvin as Marius, and Cassandra Murphy as Fantine. Each actor provided the audience with a unique representation of these timeless characters, and gave sensational vocal performances.

All under the direction of Brian Kite and musical direction of John Glaudini, the success of the production was apparent from the beginning of the prologue. With a finale that had audiences applauding vigorously, the La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts’ production of Les Miserables can be easily classified as one of the best vocal adaptions of this iconic play. Performances are at 7:30pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays; 8pm on Fridays; 2pm and 8pm on Saturdays; and 2pm on Sundays (with two added performances on June 15 and 22 at 7:00pm).
