Local organizers are inviting the La Mirada community to join a campaign to gather at city halls across the nation to support law enforcement.

The event will take place Saturday July 18th beginning at 11:00 a.m. at La Mirada City Hall, 13700 La Mirada Boulevard.

The national movement is being organized by Bridge the Blue a pro-law enforcement organization founded in 2017.

According to their website the group aims to “bridge the gap between law enforcement and the silent majority because we must show our heroes in blue that they are loved, are appreciated and are supported.”

Local organizers, Kim Clark and Kathy Dietrich hope residents will seize this opportunity to gather and show support for the men and women who patrol the City of La Mirada.

Please wear a mask if you plan to attend. Additional information about this event can be found on the group’s Facebook page here.

We will have more information if it becomes available.
