A man died at the scene of a stabbing inside a South Whittier house on Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.
Deputies first responded about 3 p.m. to a report of an “assault with a deadly weapon” in the 15300 block of Goodhue Street in the unincorporated area of Los Angeles County, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Information Bureau.
“When the deputies arrived on scene, they discovered a male White adult with apparent stab wounds laying on the floor inside the residence,” the agency said in a written statement.
Paramedics soon pronounced the victim dead.
No information regarding a suspect or motive was available as the investigation remained in its early stages on Tuesday evening.
