La Mirada~Watch up and coming international athletes compete at the 2009 North American Challenge Cup hosted at Splash! La Mirada Regional Aquatics Center. The swim meet will feature the next generation of Olympians from August 5 to 7, 2009. 

Preliminary heats begin at 9 a.m. and finals at 5 p.m. each day of the competition. Swimmers ages 11 to 18 represent the top Olympic prospects from their respective nation

Approximately 350 swimmers from five federations including Canada, Mexico, Pacific (Northern California), Pacific Northwest (Western Washington) and Southern California will compete for the North American Challenge Cup, to be awarded Friday, August 7.
