Los Alamitos~The CIF Southern Section playoff pairings were announced today and the La Mirada Boys will hit the road, the long road-85 miles to be exact.

In a Division IIIAA game this Wednesday, the Matadores (13-14, 7-5)  will play Granite Hills High School, located in the city of Apple Valley on the outskirts of Victorville. The school, part of the Apple Valley Unified School District opened in 1999.

The Cougars (15-11, 7-5) compete in the Desert Sky League.

Matadore head coach Larry Kaupang is scheduled to be on the "La Mirada Blog Radio Show w/ Tony Aiello", to talk about the match-up, and the season thus far, The show will air Monday, February 15th at 7:00 p.m. on www.adviceradio.com, and available on podcast thereafter.

Other Suburban League draws include:

Mayfair: In a Division IIA match-up, first place Monsoons (17-9, 10-2),  get a home game vs. Newport Harbor (11-15, 3-7), an at-large entry from the Sunset League.

Norwalk: In another Division IIA game, the Lancers, who finished tied for second with Cerritos in league, gets a home match-up vs. Rowland (12-15, 4-4), an at-large entry from the San Antonio League.

Cerritos: In Division IIIAA action, the Dons (17-10, 8-4)  will play host to Ramona (14-12, 8-6) from the Inland Valley League.

Artesia: Also in Division IIIAA, the Pioneers (11-14, 6-6), an at-large bid bid from the Suburban League, will head on the road and take on Bishop Montgomery (15-9, 4-4), who participate in the Del Rey League.

All games are this Wednesday beginning at 7:00 p.m.
