Where:La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts

When: Now Playing through Feb. 22nd

Absolutely H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S!   The cast is a charming selection of young actors who do an excellent job of bringing their characters to life.

Talk about packed with talent, wow!  I'll tell you this much, actors Jason Graae, Melvin Abston,, Shannon Mari  Mills, Cassie Silva, Laura Griffen, Tom Zohar, Brett Ryback, Daniel Tatar and Lana McKissack, well , they can carry a note from La Mirada to the East Coast.  I was extremely impressed.

This musical was not at all what I expected.  When I viewed the rehearsal on YouTube,  I thought, "hmmm... I don't know...It doesn't seem compelling to me, I hope I can sit through it patiently."  And you know, I was captivated within the first five minutes.  Boy, did they put me in my place or what!

The storyline was eye-opening.  It made me think and feel, for certain people who are in my life today.  They live their lives for other people and not for themselves.  I was captivated by the message.  It's OK to be who you truly are.  You should never have to stress or worry about what the people in your life are going to think about you.  You are who are.

Just do your very best, live your life according to the Book of Life, and sure enough, happiness and satisfaction are waiting for you on the other end.

I am so impressed with the diversity in this play.  Not at all a dull moment, oh, and the highlight of the play for me was the interaction and involvement of the audience.
