La Mirada~La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts continues its 2009-2010 Programs for Young Audiences series with 3-Time Grammy Award Winner Tom Chapin in Concert.  Performances are Sunday, January 24, 2010 at 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. 

Nicknamed "the Pied Piper of Children's Music" by Parents Magazine, Tom Chapin's live performances engage the hearts, minds and imaginations of children and adults alike. Tom has gained widespread critical and popular acclaim for his recordings aimed at 4 to 11 year-olds and their families. Tom and his collaborators John Forster, Michael Mark and Jon Cobert have created a body of songs, which are quickly becoming  children's classics. His family albums have been recognized with awards from the American Library Association, Parents' Choice, the New York Music Awards, the National Association of Parenting Publications and Parents Magazine. Five of his family recordings have received Grammy nominations for Best Musical Album For Children. 

LMT's Programs for Young Audiences is designed to give children ages 5 and up and their families exposure to a diverse mix of national and international touring stage acts. The season will continue with The Kennedy Center Theater for Young Audiences on Tour production of Nobody's Perfect (presented in spoken English and American Sign Language) on February 28, 2010,The Adventures of Harold and the Purple Crayon on March, 28, 2010, and the season will finish with Storybook Theatre's Sleeping Beauty on May 16, 2010. 

All seats are $8 for children and $12 for adults.
